I swear, every time I try to read a YA book that people are in love with, particularly people who seem to have some kind of interesting taste in literature, I find myself bored out of my skull and offended by how bad the writing is, how one dimensional the characters are, and how fucking shitty the characterizations, interpersonal relationship and overall plotline is in terms of being challenging.

Bitch, I didn’t like this shit when I was 16. And apparently it hasn’t gotten better.

When are people going to stop talking down to YA readers? Honestly, this garbage needs to stop.
